Real Estate: Essential With Restrictions

Essential with restrictions. That’s the news. Over the weekend real estate agents were designated “essential” again, but there are many restrictions in place. Restrictions such as a maximum of 2 people in a home at a time. That means you and your realtor can look at a house together. But you and your realtor and your partner cannot, not all at the same time. We could continue sharing the restrictions with you. (*For example, photographers and stagers are not considered essential at this time, inspectors and appraisers are.)

*4/2 Update: Stagers and photographers are now considered essential to the process.*

We’re happy to talk through all the solutions and possibilities with anyone who would like to know more about that, but what we really want to communicate is what the essential designation means to us. It means we continue to serve our clients for whom buying or selling is essential. There are times when this just needs to happen. Job changes, income changes, family changes You’ve been there. You can imagine. That’s what we’re here for.

We’re here to serve and represent people who need to buy and sell right now. We aren’t here to decide that need for you, but we encourage thoughtfulness and deep consideration for health, safety, and community solidarity. We’re here to live and work in agreement with the spirit of the Stay Home, Stay Healthy order, not to find ways around it. Don’t be discouraged! Talk to us about how we can help you if you need it; we promise to do our best.
